How to Remove Oil Stains From Clothes

Here Are Some Easy Hacks

It happens quite often that when we try our best not to drop food on our clothes we definitely drop some and then the oil stain makes a home for it on our favorite piece of clothing.

Oil stains can be very hard to get rid of and look terrible, but there are a few techniques that can help you wipe away that oil stain from your clothes at home saving you the trouble of spending at an expensive laundry.

• Laundry detergents are designed to work on oil stains and grease. Treat the stain with detergent and allow it to soak for 30 minutes. Gently dab the stain under a hot water stream and now put it into the washing machine for regular washing.

• Many people recommend dishwashing liquids to remove stains from clothes. Make a mixture of hot water and your dishwashing bar. Cover the stain with this mixture and gently rub it in circular motions using an old toothbrush. Rinse it with hot water, repeat if the stain still persists.

• Another way of getting rid of the stain is to cover the stain with a thick layer of baking soda or corn starch and let it sit for an hour. Now scrub the stain in circular motion using an old toothbrush. Now pour some dish soap over it and rub it in the same motion using your finger.

Put this cloth in the washing machine and add ½ cup of vinegar to it along with your regular laundry detergent.

We hope these tips serve you well the next time you’re trying to wash off stubborn stains.
